The Chansonniers was formed in 2013, originally to perform Parisian chansons from the sixteenth century, but since then our scope has broadened. Our first concert was part of a Great war commemoration, with a lot of very sad pieces, but happily our subsequent ones have been more cheerful, including a splendid birthday party in York's 14th century Merchant Taylor's Hall.
